About Flower Power

I fell in love with flowers while living in Belgium in 2006. The florist at our local farmers market made tiny bouquets that were miniature works of art. When I returned to California I couldn’t find anything like them, so I took a floral design class and began making my own.

When my daughters started going to high school dances, I was struck by how floral businesses really don’t cater to young people. A girl can spend lots of money and time choosing a dress, getting a blow out, and doing her make up, and then she hangs a floppy, white rose and ribbon thing on her wrist that cost $40 and looks like everyone else’s. Why shouldn’t flowers be unique to the person wearing them? So I started making my daughters’ prom and coronation flowers, and soon everyone wanted them.

Every flower, every succulent, every leaf or blade of grass is unique. Every floral design tells me what it wants to be as I create it. That’s why nothing I make is ever the same twice. The examples you see on these pages are just examples. When I design for you, you can be sure that the end result will be as unique as you are.

Be powerful. Be yourself.
